you know when fluoridation first began?

it's so quiet in this room and i keep hearing weird noises coming from my computer. the humming of the fan is normal. so normal, in fact, that i don't ever hear it unless i try to. the weird noises don't involve the fan, though. they're odd clicking type noises. then i wonder - is it really making weird noises? a couple of days ago, i was convinced that the lights in the den kept flickering. nobody else thought so, though. perhaps i'm having hallucinations. that really wouldn't surprise me.
ernesto is painting the outside of my house. he was one of the subcontractors from before, but we're dealing with him alone now. he's just about finished all the scraping & caulking & all that stuff, so we needed to go buy the paint. my father decided at that point that he needed some stuff from the grocery store. going anywhere with both of my parents is frustrating, but my mother was insistent that i go with. she wasn't convinced that having the names & numbers for the paint colors i'd chosen was sufficient information. argh.
some guy robbed a pawn shop in the strip center next to the paint store while we were there. we saw this guy running through the parking lot trying to clutch the money to his chest, and failing. bills were flying everywhere. a woman who exited her car as this was happening picked up a few of the bills and gave them to the guy who had come running out of the pawn shop screaming. a few minutes later, two police cars came racing along with their sirens blaring, but then they did u-turns and went the other way - so who knows what that was all about. nothing else exciting happened while at the paint store.
my dad took nearly 45 minutes to do his shopping. he was buying all this stuff with the intention of cooking it for dinner, but then after we left the store my parents decided it was too late to start cooking, so we went to schlotzsky's and got sandwiches to go. duh.
i still haven't named the rabbit. i should probably call her something like pooper, because she is most certainly an accomplished one. she had some kale today, which i haven't fed her before. she seemed to like it, but not as much as the parsley. i hope to have her new home built soon, as this bird cage thing is a pain in the ass to clean daily and i'm sure she gets bored in there, too. she gets out to run around every night. i just block off a section of the room and she scampers and hops and poops and plays with her cardboard. when she was out earlier tonight, poohead sat on the stairs and meowed constantly. he gets so much attention; i don't know why he's such a jealous cat. maybe i've coddled him too much.
i knew it would happen sooner or later. "based on the findings of the report, my conclusion was that this idea was not a practical deterrent for reasons which at this moment must be all too obvious."
random movie quote:
"you can't fight in here, this is the war room!"
